Garvin Signs LOI, Commits To Bald EaglesMay 10, 2018Sophomore guard/forward Tiana Garvin signed a National Letter of Intent to play women's basketball at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, accompanied by her supporters at Cecil College. Tiana is pictured with her father Vernon Garvin Jr. and Cecil College President Dr. Mary Way Bolt.

Stubblefield Signs To Play At Goldey-BeacomApril 30, 2018Sophomore guard Alexis Stubblefield signed a National Letter of Intent to play women's basketball at Goldey-Beacom College, accompanied by her supporters at Cecil College. Alexis will transfer to Goldey-Beacom in the fall of 2018 and compete for the Lightning, after her two successful years as a Seahawk. Stubblefield led her team at Cecil College with 14.1 points per game and an overall record of 23-7 in the 2017-2018 season. She ended her career as a Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference First Team Selection, an NJCAA Region XX DII Champion, the NJCAA Region XX DII Tournament MVP, and made a trip to Harrison, Arkansas for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

Student-Athlete Spotlight: Nicole Guy-ThomasApril 24, 2018Learn more about Nicole Guy-Thomas, a sophomore guard, on the 2018 NJCAA Region XX DII Women's Basketball Championship team, in the latest Student-Athlete Spotlight. Nicole, a native of Baltimore, Md. and graduate of Towson High School in 2016, recorded 287 career points in her two years as a Seahawk, and helped the team to a 23-7 overall record and trip to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Harrison, Arkansas

Seahawks Earn Two Region First Team SelectionsMarch 30, 2018Cecil College's Alexis Stubblefield and Tiana Garvin, both sophomore guards on the women's basketball team, were named to the NJCAA Region XX DII All-Region First Team after a successful season as Region Champions and a trip to the National Tournament.

Seahawks Suffer First Round Loss at NationalsMarch 21, 2018Cecil College women's basketball team suffered a close loss to the Thunderbirds of Mesa Community College in the first round of the NJCAA DII Women's Basketball Championship. The Seahawks overcame an 18-point first round defecit to eventually tie the game, but could not hold on as time expired.

Selections include First-Team Selection Alexis Stubblefield, Nyjayha Lockwood, Briana McAllister, Chyna Steele, and Cornell Corbin.

The Seahawks head into post-season play with a 21-5 overall record and receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Region XX National Poll.

Lockwood, Seahawks Score Season High PointsFebruary 03, 2018The Cecil College women's basketball team recorded a season-high 115 points in Saturday's win over the Hawks of College of Southern Maryland. Sophomore Nyjayha Lockwood netted a season-high 31 points, inlcuding going 13-16 from the floor and 5-7 from beyond the arc.
