Seahawks Pick Up 6th Straight Win in Catonsville

Cecil College women's basketball picked up their sixth straight victory on Wednesday, November 15 against the Cardinals of CCBC Catonsville by a score of 91-70 to keep their perfect start to the season alive. The Seahawks improve to 6-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

All of the Seahawks' wins thus far in the season have been double-digit victories, with 14 points being the closest point spread, coming from the Harcum Bears on on Wednesday, November 8. Cecil College is currently averaging 92.2 points per game, while only giving up 42.8 points to their opponents.

Sophomore guard Nyjayha Lockwood lead the Seahawks to victory with 26 points, while shooting 63% from the floor and 50% from beyond the arc. Sophomore transfer Tiana Garvin recorded her second career double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Two more Seahawks, Alexis Stubblefield and Nicole Guy-Thomas, recorded double-digit points in the victory.

Women's basketball returns to action on Tuesday, November 21 to face the Raptors of Montgomery College. The Seahawks look to extend their win steak to seven and remain undefeated in MD JUCO. Tip off is set for 5:00 p.m. on the campus of Cecil College.
