The Cecil College men's basketball team entered the NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball National Tournament as the #6-seed, after being crowned NJCAA Region 20 Division II Champions with a tournament sweep and undefeated record in the region. The Seahawks earned a victory in the national tournament's first round over #11-seed SAU Tech, but suffered a loss in the Elite Eight Quarterfinal round to higher ranked #3-seed Sullivan County Community College. The Seahawks ended their season with a loss in the consolation bracket to Henry Ford to end their 2021-2022 season with an overall record of 27-4.

The Seahawks were in a tight battle in the first half but a late second-half run that extended well into the second half securted the win for the Seahawks. Win this win, the Seahawks stole the first place spot in the NJCAA Region XX DII standings from the Skipjacks with a perfect 8-0 record against region division opponents.

Seahawks Defeat Two at Monroe College Invitational and Climb to #13 in the Nation

The Cecil College men’s basketball improved their record to 12-1 on the season over the weekend after defeating Monroe College – Bronx 93-59 on Saturday and Monroe College 91-76 on Sunday. The Seahawks competed in the Monroe College Invitational and earned two hard fought victories that helped them to climb up two spots to #13 in the NJCAA DII men's basketball national rankings.
