Mission
To provide optimal medical care to the student-athletes of Cecil College through preventative measures, acute emergency and non-emergency attention, rehabilitative measures, injury/illness management, and education. Oversee the daily administration and operation of the Cecil College Sports Medicine facilities. Provide individual support and personal attention as a liaison, between the student-athlete and the medical community and assure the highest possible quality medical attention per student-athlete in the area.
Philosophy
The philosophy of the Athletic Trainer orbits around the central idea that "prevention is the best medicine." Consequently, it is in your best interest, as well as in that of the Athletic Trainer, to provide access to any information regarding optimizing performance and any of the following topics: nutrition, fluid replacement, supplementation, strength and conditioning issues, some psychological issues, any medical issues, and all related areas. It is your responsibility to inquire about consultation in any of the aforementioned topics. All issues will be handled with the utmost respect for trainer-patient confidentiality.
