The Cecil College men's basketball extended their winning streak to twelve games on the season Wednesday defeating Anne Arundel Community College 107-81. The Seahawks were in a tight battle going into the half but ended up pulling away in the second half.
The Riverhawks were led by Jamar Young with a team high 17 points while adding 6 rebounds. Braeden Cavey added 12 points and 4 rebounds for the Riverhawks.
Sophomore guard Darell Johnson was second on the team in scoring for the game with 20 points and also adding 4 assists. Sophomore forward Khalid Gates had a huge double–double in the game with a team high 27 points and 16 rebounds. Freshman forward Marlon Lewis played a key role off the bench for the Seahawks with 14 points and 2 rebounds.
Cecil College men's basketball team looks to extend their winning streak to thirteen games when they host Harford Community College on Saturday, January 22nd. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in North East, Md.
