Cecil College held its Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, April 23, with seven of its icons recognized. The Class of 2020 includes pioneers who all had a hand in the Cecil athletic programs’ creation, development, and growth. These individuals were honored as the Class of 2020 as the ceremony was originally planned for two weeks after the pandemic lockdown.

The popular worlds of athletics and business team up to bring the fast-growing field of sports management to Cecil College students. This program is designed for students who seek to acquire a complete framework of business concepts and skills that are directly related to the field of sports management. Students will realize the role a sports manager plays in various athletic settings and understand management, accounting, and leadership skills to build a foundation in their chosen athletic environment.

Cecil College is pleased to host a Cecil County Health Department COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on campus. The vaccine clinic will take place on Tuesday, September 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Physical Education Complex (Building E) on the North East campus. First and second doses of the Moderna and Pfizer and the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available.
Indoor sports are finally back at Cecil College with the much antipicated return of the Seahawks volleyball team, starting their 2021 season tonight, August 31, as they host the Hawks of Hagerstown Community College. The Cecil College Fitness & Wellness Center (FWC) will be opening for the summer to all faculty, staff, registered students, and alumni on Monday, May 17, 2021. Students can use the FWC for no additional cost if they are registered for any number of credits during the Summer or Fall 2021 semester. Alumni are able to access the FWC if they have paid the $100.00 annual fee.
Cecil College Athletics is hosting a virtual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run this fall to unite our community and supporters to benefit our student-athletes’ scholarship fund. You pick the date, time, and location to complete your socially distanced 5K between November 14 and November 26. Every step you take will help support our student-athletes.

After much deliberation and careful consideration, Cecil College has made the difficult decision to cancel indoor sports that were previously supposed to take place in the Spring 2021 semester. Among the sports effected are the men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's volleyball teams at Cecil College.

Due to COVID-19, on July 13th, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) made the decision to move all sports to the spring semester. The only exceptions are colleges with cross country, golf and women’s tennis. Those programs will remain in the fall semester.
he 2019-20 academic year presented unprecedented challenges to NJCAA student-athletes, but through determination and excellence in the classroom, 9,555 student-athletes garnered All-Academic recognition for achieving a GPA above 3.6.
Cecil College Athletic Department today announced that it has entered into a 5-year partnership with Nike through BSN SPORTS. The agreement, which will commence on July 1, 2020 is part of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which aims to make BSN SPORTS a one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment to all D1, DII, D3, NJCAA and NAIA schools.

The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (Maryland JUCO) today announced its 2019-20 All-Maryland JUCO Men's and Women's Basketball teams and other award recipients. A total of 43 student athletes and coaches representing 14 member institutions earned honors.
