The Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the Class of 2020. The deadline for the submission of new nominees is Friday, January 10, at 4:00 p.m.

The purpose of the Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is to honor individuals who, through participation, support or interest, have made outstanding contributions to or brought recognition to the athletic programs at Cecil College.

Cecil College Athletics will announce the Class of 2020 in early February and will hold the annual induction ceremony on Saturday, March 28, 2019 at 6:30 p.m., in the Physical Education Complex on Cecil College's North East Campus.

There are five categories for nominees:

• Student-Athlete
• Coach/Support Staff
• Teams
• Fans/Community Members
• and Meritorious Service.

The criteria for nominees to be inducted include receiving the majority of votes by the Hall of Fame Committee, no more than ten individuals will be inducted annually, and arrangements will be made to honor deceased inductees. A nominee not selected for induction during the year of their nomination will remain in consideration for five years following their submission.

The Hall of Fame Committee will consist of alumni, current coaches, and staff. Each inductee will receive a Hall of Fame plaque that will be displayed inside the Physical Education Complex and be presented with a keepsake induction plaque at the induction banquet.
