Student-Athlete Spotlight: Learn More About Hailey Lutter, Women's Cross Country

Learn more about Hailey Lutter in the latest issue of Student-Athlete Spotlight. Lutter, a native of Perryville, Maryland and graduate of Perryville High School, is looking forward to graduation from Cecil College with a Criminal Justice degree in a few short weeks. Lutter competed as a freshman, athletically, on Cecil College inaugural women's cross country team and will move on to University of Baltimore to continue her education. In four meets this past fall, Lutter improved her times each race and solidified times of 31:47 (5k), 30:27 (5k), 35:53 (6k), 34:59 (6k).

What is your favorite course you are enrolled in this semester & why?

My favorite course this semester is my independent study internship class because I am getting hands on experience.

What is your favorite pump-up song or music?

"What's Poppin'" by Jack Harlow.

What is your favorite movie about sports & why?

My favorite movie about sports is "4 Minute Mile" because, as a cross country and track runner in high school, that movie inspired me to become the best athlete I can be.

If you were stranded on an island, which one of your teammates would you want with you & why?

I would choose Gabriella Scramlin because she is so resourceful.

What would you eat for your last meal?

Definitely crab cakes.

What is one thing you do to prepare for a game, match, or meet?

All I do is listen to music.

If you could have one super power, what would it be & why?

I would want to have super speed because I want to be fast and win all the cross country races.

What is your dream occupation & why?

My dream occupation is a police officer because I would like to follow in my family's footsteps.
