Cecil Falls to Frederick

FREDERICK - Cecil College volleyball saw its four-game win streak snapped by Frederick in straight sets on Saturday afternoon.

After dropping set one, the Seahawks and Cougars battled to a 22-22 stalemate deep into the second frame. Frederick took the next two points on a block and an ace, but an attacking error by the hosts kept Cecil alive. The Cougars eventually rebounded and put the set away with a kill.

Frederick took off early in set three, then stymied a late rally by Cecil to finish off the sweep.

The Seahawks dip to 5-7 (4-4 Region 20) after the loss.
