Seahawks Upended by Delaware Tech

NORTH EAST - Cecil College volleyball welcomed Delaware Tech for its 2024 home opener, falling in straight sets to the Squares on Wednesday evening.

Cecil dropped the first two sets by an identical 25-17 scoreline. A fast start had the Seahawks in a much better place in the third, but Delaware Tech eventually matched them. The score stood at 23-23 down the stretch, but the Squares picked up the final two kills of the contest to earn a sweep.

The Seahawks were hampered by mistakes throughout the contest, including 12 return errors and 11 service errors. Two Delaware Tech attackers finished with over 10 kills, while Cecil's attack was led by nine from Etta Harris.
