Davis, Wagner Tabbed for All-Region 20 Squad
NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil Volleyball sophomores Lydia Davis and Amanda Wagner have been selected to the 2022 All-Region 20 Division II Volleyball team, as announced by Region 20 officials on Thursday afternoon.
This is the second time Davis and Wagner represent the Seahawks on the All-Region 20 team. Davis was bumped up to the first team this year, while Wagner picked up another honorable mention selection.
Davis rolled to 246 kills and 57 aces in 2022 while finishing with third on the team in digs (156). The outsider hitter tallied at least 10 kills in 13 contests, including a pair of games where she surpassed 20 kills. Davis saved her best performance of the year for the postseason, going off for 24 kills in the Seahawks Region 20 DII semifinal clash with Frederick (Oct. 29).
Wagner recorded 157 kills and 44 aces in her second season at Cecil. The sophomore also had the second most digs of any Seahawk with 161. Wagner finished a half-dozen matches with 10 kills or more, three of which came in the final five contests of the season.
