Seahawks Start Hot, Falter Late Against Cougars
FREDERICK, Md. - Cecil Volleyball picked up the first set of the contest, but ultimately fell 3-1 to the Frederick Cougars on the road Tuesday evening.
Cecil's attack came out firing in the opener, collecting nine kills as a unit to take a 25-23 win in set one. Unfortunately, the Seahawks dropped back-to-back close sets (21-25, 22-25) to fall behind 2-1. Frederick largely controlled the final set and ended the match with a 25-14 victory in the fourth.
Lydia Davis spearheaded the Cecil attack with 10 kills. Amanda Wagner lead the Seahawks with 11 digs and was second with seven kills. Davis and Wagner also chipped in three aces each.
