BALTIMORE - Cecil College softball was swept by CCBC-Catonsville on Wednesday afternoon.
The Seahawks are now 9-9 on the year.
GAME ONE - Catonsville 2, Cecil 1
The Seahawks dropped a low scoring game to open the day, with the two teams combining for just nine hits. The Cardinals did all of their work in the third, scoring two runs on a sacrifice bunt and an RBI double.
Cecil finally got on the board with two outs in sixth. Gianna Dougherty would double with one out, then Sloane Tanner moved her over to third. Briana Rebman stepped up next and flied out to center, driving home Dougherty in the process. The Cardinals would retire the next batter, then sent the Seahawks packing in the seventh to end the rally.
Game Two - Catonsville 8, Cecil 0
Catonsville two-hit the Seahawks to send Cecil away winless on the day. Sloane Tanner doubled in the first inning and Gianna Dougherty singled in the sixth for Cecil's pair of knocks.
Amaia Smith (3-4) was issue the loss from the circle.
