NORTH EAST - Cecil's Jhaydin Ledford and Byronique Robinson have been selected to the All-Maryland JUCO Conference Softball Team, as annouced by conference officials on Monday.
Ledford topped the Seahawks with 26 hits, a .531 batting average, a .610 on-base percentage, and a .633 slugging percentage. The freshman outfielder also posted a team-high five doubles and five stolen bases. During the first month of the season, Ledford led all NJCAA Division 2 hitters in batting average and on-base percentage. This stretch included six-straight games with at least two hits to start the year.
Robinson held down first base for the Seahawks and posted the best fielding percentage on the team. She finished tied for first among Cecil batters with 12 RBI and was slotted second in batting average (.368) and on-base percentage (.455).
