Catonsville Tops Seahawks

NORTH EAST - Defensive errors plagued Cecil softball on Saturday, who took a two losses to the CCBC-Catonsville Cardinals.

The Seahawks ultimately could not overcome big offensive innings from Catonsville. The Cardinals started game one by scoring 14 runs in the opening frame, while the Cardinals scored 17 runs over the first two innngs of the second contest.

Cecil was led at the dish by Mecarte Olsen in game one, as the sophomore collected two hits and two RBI. Byronique Robinson mashed a solo home run for Cecil's third run of the game.

Game two featured a triple as one of two hits from freshman Natalie Cook. Olsen and Iyana Jurry tallied one hit and one RBI each.
