BALTIMORE, Md. - The Cecil men's cross country team had a tremendous Saturday morning, breaking the school record for an 8K race while finishing third as a team at the Coach Cashlin Classic.
The previous 8K record, a 32:37 run by Daniel Mitzel back in 2019, was bested by four Seahawks over the weekend. Jalen Dhanoolal (29:30) bested Cory Braddy by 00.00.4 seconds to take up the mantle. Leon Njoroge (24th) and Michael D'Aiuto Jr. (29th) also cleared the historic mark.
As a team, Cecil finished in third place overall with a score of 87. They bested Region 20 rivals Harford anbd CCBC-Catonsville as well as several four-year programs.
