Cross Country Kicks off Season at Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic

The Cecil College men's cross country competed in their first meet of the season on Friday, September 17th at the 20th Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic. Three males from Cecil College participated in the event. The Seahawks were unable to compete as a team, but competed individually.  

The Seahawks were led by freshman Sean Browne who placed 39th out of 49 runners and was the first to cross the line for Cecil College. Browne recorded a time of 37:35.7. Next to cross the finish line for the Seahawks was freshman Nowell Clay with a time of 37:38.7 which placed 40th. Followed by sophomore Daniel Mitzel with a time of 40:10.5 who placed 45th. Cecil College cross country looks to improve on times when they return to action on Saturday, October 9th at the Delaware XC Invitational. The men's race is slated to start at 10:15 a.m.
