NORTH EAST - Freshman midfielder Jannis Braun recorded two second half assists, fueling the Seahawks 2-0 triump over four-year program Manor College on Thursday evening.
The Diessen, Germany native found fellow german Bent Althoff for the first goal of the afternoon. Braun punched through ball past the Blue Jays final third and Althoff finished it off with a chip over the Manor keeper.
Eight minutes later and Braun found Joshua Duzan off of a quick free kick for Cecil's second goal. Duzan snuck in past the Manor defender and headed the ball just inside the back post.
The Seahawks defense bent but did not break. They allowed 14 shots with only five on target. Frosh goalkeeper Finnegan Tome made all five saves.
Cecil improves to 3-2 on the year with the victory.
