The Cecil College athletic department is proud to announce the hiring of Dr. Robert DeFinis as the next head coach of the men's and women's soccer programs at Cecil College.

Dr. DeFinis brings over 20 years of coaching experience to Cecil College. Most recently, he served as the assistant coach under Aileen Ascolese at Ursinis College (NCAA Division III | Collegeville, Pa.) for the women's soccer team. Before joining the Ursinis Bears, he coached at Dock Mennonite Academy and with the Perkiomen Valley Soccer Club, in Pennsylvania, where he also serves as the Director of Coaching.

As a former NCAA DIII athlete and coach, Dr. DeFinis brings understanding of the physical and mental commitments that athletes and coaches must endure in order to accomplish their goals. In addition, as an organizational leader, Dr. DeFinis has cultivated human capital to maximize business outcomes while creating employee satisfaction.

Dr. DeFinis received his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Development and a Master's degree in Education while acquiring several certifications in Sports & Performance Psychology. He also holds certifications with USSF and NSCAA. DeFinis grew up and currently resides in Montgomery County, Pa.
