Guy Earns NJCAA All-American Honors
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Cecil College men's basketball sophomore Jaiden Guy is a Division 2 Third Team All-American, being named by National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) officials on Wednesday afternoon.
Guy led the Seahawks with 18.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. He finished the regular season leading Region 20 in minutes played (893) and shots made (217). Guy bookended the regular season with his two 30-point performances of the year. He scored over 20 points on nine occasions and recorded a half-dozen double-doubles.
The New Castle, Delaware native was awarded Region 20 Player of the Month honors for November, January, and February. He was the named to the All-Region 20 Division 2 First Team as the top vote-getter back in March. Guy is Cecil's first All-American since Khalid Gates earned a spot at the end of the 2021-22 season.
