Seahawks Feature Two on All-Region 20 D2 Teams
NORTH EAST - Cecil College men's basketball saw two players named to the 2024-25 All-Region 20 Division 2 teams, as announced by region officials on Friday.
Jaiden Guy | First Team | Sophomore | Guard
Guy led the Seahawks with 18.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. He finished the regular season leading the region in minutes played (893) and shots made (217). Guy bookended the regular season with his two 30-point performances of the year. The sophomore guard scored over 20 points on nine occasions and recorded a half-dozen double-doubles. Guy was awarded R20 Player of the Month for November and January.
Darrien Berrios Rivera | Honorable Mention | Sophomore | Forward
A Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native, Berrios Rivera finished with a team high 49 three-pointers made. He slotted second on the Seahawks with 11.0 points per game, while shooting 51% from the field and 37.1% from three. Berrios Rivera scored a career high 29 points in a crucial win over Potomac State on Feb. 19. He chipped in at least 10 points on 14 occasions, including two additional 20-point showings.
