Defense Leads Cecil to Victory
NORTH EAST - Cecil College men's basketball forced a season high 39 turnovers, as the Seahawks defeated the Frederick Cougars 79-59 on Wednesday evening.
Jeremiah Falko led the team on the defensive end with five steals. The freshman guard finished with a career high 11 points as well. Jaiden Guy (19 points) edged a career high 18-point, eight rebound effort from Ezra Tull to lead all players in scoring.
The Seahawks improve to 9-3 (2-1 Region 20) with tonight's win.
Turning Point
After taking a three point lead with 17:25 left in the second, Frederick did not score again until the 11:17 mark. Cecil took back the lead on 14 unanswered points and never trailed the Cougars again.
