Seahawks Down Del Tech, Salvage Split

NORTH EAST - Cecil bounced back from a close loss in Friday's first game, taking game two via an 8-4 scoreline.

Hunter Sipel (1-0) steadied the ship after giving up four runs in the second, striking out eight batters to earn his first collegiate victory. Outside of that frame, the Seahawks did not surrender another hit to Delaware Tech.

Colin Brosh led the way at the dish, collecting three hits and four RBI in four at-bats. Ben Campbell finished with three RBI and two hits.

Trailing 4-1 after the second, Cecil went out to score two runs over the next two innings. After a quiet fifth for both sides, Cecil punched through three more runs on a balk and Brosh's double to right.

Chad Francis got two quick out to start the seventh, but gave up back-to-back walks after that. The freshman righty eventually bailed himself out with a ground ball to seal the game for the Seahawks.
