Garrett Worthington Named Co-Region 20 Player of the Month

NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil's Garrett Worthington has been named the Co-Region 20 Division 2 Baseball Player of the Month for April.

Worthington hit .327 with four home runs and 20 RBI for the Seahawks in April. The sophomore had six multi-hit games and notably went 5-for-7 with two doubles, two home runs and eight RBI in Cecil's doubleheader with Potomac State on April 27. He had two hits and two RBI against Bucks County the week before, and ended the month 2-for-4 with three RBI against Prince George's on April 29.

The Seahawks recently wrapped up their 2023 season with 22 wins, their most since 2015. Cecil also grabbed a spot in the Region 20 Division 2 postseason tournament for the first time in four seasons.
