Cougars Take Two From Seahawks in Road Season Debut

The Cougars of Frederick Community College kicked off their season with two wins over the Seahawks in Saturday's double-header at Brockell Field. The Cougars traveled to North East, Md. for their 2021 season debut and knocked the Seahawks back to 2-10 overall and 1-5 against MD JUCO opponents.

The Seahawks allowed a solo run in the opening inning of Saturday's first game but were quick to answer back with a home run to left field from Andrew Imbierowicz, which also brought Brenden Reilly across home plate, who was previously on base from a walk. The Cougars scored two runs in the top of the second, but once again, the Seahawks had an answer. With two outs, Nathan Fusco-Lomont doubled to left field followed by a single from Andre Claudio. Patrick O'Brien's two-RBI triple to center field brought both runners home to give the Seahawks a 4-3 lead after two complete innings.
