Summer 2022 Basketball Skills Camp

Ed Durham, Cecil College Men's Basketball Coach, will teach and oversee all aspects of the camp. The Seahawks have won the Maryland JUCO regular season and state tournament championship a combined nine times since 2001 while the 1999, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2016, and 2019 teams won the Region Championships and advanced to the National Tournament including a NJCAA National Championship in 2006. Coach Durham, along with the current student-athletes, will be responsible for the teaching and demonstration of the fundamentals of basketball. Coach Durham will stress confidence, teamwork, effort and sportsmanship, which he feels are important ingredients in achieving success on and off the court.

Fundamentals taught include: shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, defense, team play and sportsmanship. Camp activities will include three-on-three and five-on-five league games, free throw shooting, and hot-shot competitions.

Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Open to incoming 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade boys and girls

Session #2: June 27-July 1, 2022
Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

• $110.00 per player
• $10.00 discount for each additional family member
• Basketball sneakers or athletic shoes, athletic shorts and shirt, water bottle, bagged lunch, and a desire to learn

Summer 2022 Specialized Basketball Shooting Camp

Summer 2022 Youth Co-Ed Fundamental Basketball Camp

Head women's basketball coach, Dayra Diamond, along with current assistant coaching staff and players, will teach the fundamentals of basketball while focusing on invidual player development and team play. This camp will feature many basketball related activities and games with the chance to win prizes!

Coach Diamond joined the Cecil College coaching staff in 2018 and has 13+ years of coaching experience and the high school, college, and DIAA and AAU levels. 

Dates: July 18-22, 2022
Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Open to incoming 1st to 5th grade boys and girls

• Campers should wear sneakers and comfortable clothing.

Summer 2022 Women's Basketball Prospect Camp

Head women's basketball coach, Dayra Diamond, along with current assistant coaching staff and players, will teach advanced skills that will enhance offensive and defensive play, hall handling, shooting, passing, dribbling, and more while getting the chance to showcase your skills in front of college coaching staff members. This camp will also feature a campus tour of Cecil College led by Admission staff members and more about attending college.

Summer 2022 Softball Camp

*Summer softball camps have been cancelled as of May 31, 2022. If you have previously registered for one of the softball camps below, you will be contacted by Alicia Nutter, Athletics Services Specialist, for a refund.*

Summer 2022 Volleyball Camp

Week 1: June 27-30, 2022 * beginner and intermediate players only *
Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Setters may arrive at 5:15 p.m. for specialized training)
Open to incoming 5th to 12th grade boys and girls

• $100.00 per player
• What to bring: sneakers, short, t-shirt, water bottle

This beginner/intermediate camp will focus on teaching the fundamental skills of volleyball. Through high repetition of drills and game situations, athletes will learn proper footwork, passing, serving, hitting, setting, and some conditioning. Athletes will be divided into groups based on skill level and age to give everyone a good camp experience. All campers will receive valuable feedback to help improve there playing ability.

Week 2: July 11-14, 2022 * advanced players only*
Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Setters may arrive at 5:15 p.m. for specialized training)
Open to incoming 5th to 12th grade boys and girls

• $100.00 per player
• What to bring: sneakers, short, t-shirt, water bottle

This advanced camp will focus on teaching the fundamental skills of volleyball needed for the varsity level of high school. Through a high level of repetition of drills and game situations, athletes will learn proper footwork, passing, serving, hitting, setting, blocking, and conditioning. We give athletes focused, intensive training essential to improvement. Athletes will be divided into groups based on skill level and age to give everyone a good camp experience. All campers will receive valuable feedback to help expand and push their game to the next level. Please note this camp is designed for advanced players, players who already have basic and intermediate playing experience.

Cecil College Athletics' Summer Camp Refund Policy

Camp registrations canceled five days or more prior to the first day of camp will receive a full refund without penalties.

Camp registrations canceled less than five days prior to the first day of camp are subject to a $50.00 cancelation fee.

Camp registrations canceled after the start of camp are not eligible for a refund, with the exception of an injury or illness. Refunds will be pro-rated.
