Bio

Ed Durham is entering his 18th year as the Director of Athletics at Cecil College. He earned his undergraduate degree from Wilmington University, while being recognized as an All-Region and All-District student-athlete in baseball. Durham continued his education at Wilmington University to earn a Master's of Education degree in School Counseling. Ed is currently involved as the NJCAA Region 20 Men's Director.

In addition to his administrative duties, Durham enters his ninth year as the Head Men's Basketball Coach. He previously served as the head softball coach for 5 seasons, ending his career with a record of 124-87. During his time coaching, the women's softball team made 4 playoff appearances, were named Region Runner-Up in 2009, and Region Champions and National Tournament participants in 2010 and 2011. The softball program produced 14 All-Region selections, 3 Academic All-American, 1 All-American during those 5 years.

Durham's current record with the men's basketball team is 177-106. He has led the Seahawks to three appearances in the NJCAA Division 2 National Tournament, including a third place finish in the 2018-19 season. Durham's team have captured three Region 20 D2 championships and made five finals appearances. He guided Cecil to at least 20 wins in a season six times.

Ed currently resides in Middletown, De. with his wife, MaryBeth, and four children. Together they have three daughters (Erann, Courtney, and Rachel) and one son (Zachary).
