    Due to COVID-19, on July 13th, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) made the decision to move all sports to the spring semester. The only exceptions are colleges with cross country, golf and women’s tennis. Those programs will remain in the fall semester.

  • Seahawks Announce Partnership with Nike and BSN Sports

    Cecil College Athletic Department today announced that it has entered into a 5-year partnership with Nike through BSN SPORTS. The agreement, which will commence on July 1, 2020 is part of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which aims to make BSN SPORTS a one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment to all D1, DII, D3, NJCAA and NAIA schools.

    Due to COVID-19, the Governor's restriction on large events, and for the health and safety of our donors, attendees, and staff, the Cecil College athletic department has decided to postpone the 2020 Cecil College Athletics Golf Tournament indefinitely.

  • Student-Athlete Spotlight: Learn More about Kadi Davis, Volleyball

    Learn more about Kadi Davis in the latest issue of Student-Athlete Spotlight. Davis, a native of Perryville, Maryland and a graduate of Perryville High School is currently in sophomore year as a defensive specialist/libero on the Cecil College women's volleyball team. This past fall, Davis helped her team to a final record of 15-6 and an appearance in the NJCAA Region XX tournament. She led her team with 300 digs, landing her 3rd in MD JUCO in total digs and digs per set, during the season and was second on the squad with 44 service aces.

    As voted by head coaches from around the conference, Cecil College freshman middle hitter Rebecca Holman, was named to the All-MD JUCO First Team, NJCAA Region XX DII All-Region First Team, and a member of the Region XX DII All-Tournament Team for her outstanding freshman campaign.
  • Holman and Maser Set Career-Highs in Important Victory Over Potomac State

    Cecil College women's volleyball picked up an important road win over NJCAA Region XX DII rival, Potomac State College of West Virginia or Friday, October 18. This win improved their overall record to 14-4 overall, 7-3 against region division opponents, and remained at 7-4 in conference play. The Seahawks were able to jump ahead of Potomac State in the region division standings to currently occupy the fifth spot out of twelve programs.

  • Raptors End Seahawks Six-Game Home Court Winning Streak

    The Raptors of Montgomery College defeated the Seahawks in three sets on Tuesday to end their previous six-game win streak on their home court. Prior to Tuesday, Cecil College women's volleyball had not lost a single set at home in the 2019 season. With the loss to Montgomery, the Seahawks fell to 11-4 overall and 6-4 in the conference, where the Raptors still remain undefeated and claim the top spot in the rankings. The Seahawks currently sit in sixth place out of 12 volleyball teams in MD JUCO.
  • Seahawks Capture 10th Season Victory to Remain Unbeaten on Home Floor

    The Cecil College women's volleyball team captured their tenth win of the season to improve their overall record to 10-3 and bumped up to 6-3 in conference play. The Seahawks currently land in fourth place in the NJCAA Region XX DII standings and sixth place in the MD JUCO standings, both of which have twelve total programs.
  • Seahawks Handed Back-to-Back Conference Losses from Cougars and Fighting Owls

    After starting their season 4-0 with four sweeps, including one over MD JUCO and NJCAA Region XX DII rival Collegeof Southern Maryland, the Cecil College volleyball team was handed back-to-back losses by conference opponents Frederick Community College and Harford Community College. Their shut out loss to the Cougars of Frederick Community College was their first loss against another Region XX DII opponent. The Seahawks fell to 4-2 overall, 1-2 in the conference, and 1-1 in their region division.

    Cecil College women's volleyball picked up another 3-0 victory, marking their second of the season in two games, over Harcum College on Thursday, September 5. The Seahawks improved to 2-0 on the year with hopes of continuing their win streak as they head into conference play this weekend.
  • Volleyball Starts Season With Three Set Sweep of Community College of Beaver County

    The Cecil College women's volleyball team opened their 2019 season with a convincing three set victory over NJCAA Region XX DII foe Community College of Beaver County on Saturday, August 31. This straight set victory by scores of 25-14, 25-10, and 25-13 also marks Cecil's first win under first-year head coach Eden Barton, who also served as the program's assistant coach in previous years.
