  • NJCAA Announces 2018-2019 All-Academic Honors
    July 09, 2019
    On, July 2, 2019 the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced a new record of 6,656 student-athletes that earned a spot on one of the three NJCAA All-Academic teams, surpassing last year's total of 6,329 student-athletes.
  • Women's Volleyball and Women's Basketball Announce Summer Open Gym Dates

    Cecil College women's volleyball and women's basketball will be hosting various open gym dates throughout the summer months. These dates are open to all students currently enrolled at Cecil College or students that plan to attend Cecil College this coming fall semester. All dates will take place in the Physical Education Complex on the North East Campus of Cecil College and will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Mark Your Calendars for Seahawks' Annual Golf Tournament at Back Creek Golf Club

    Support Cecil College Athletics by participating in or sponsoring our annual Golf Tournament, title-sponsored by Barnes & Noble. This year's tournament will be held at Back Creek Golf Course in Middletown, De. on Friday, June 7, 2019. Shot gun start is scheduled for 8:00 a.m.

  • Waldridge Signs with NCAA DIII Wesley College to Continue Academic and Athletic Career

    Sophomore women's volleyball player Emily Waldridge signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Wesley College, located in Dover, Delaware. Waldridge plans to graduate from Cecil College this May and will continue her studies in Psychology.
  • Cecil College Athletics Celebrates Inaugural Hall of Fame Inductees

    Cecil College held its inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, March 30, with seven of the institution’s icons recognized. The Class of 2019 included pioneers who all had a hand in the creation, development, and growth of the Cecil athletic programs. The members of the inaugural class are Charles “Dick” Brockell (posthumously), William Lewit, Mary Maloney, Mary Etta Reedy, Dr. Thomas Topping, Shirley Weaver, and Thomas Wilhide.

Members of the public and campus community are asked to join Cecil College Athletics in celebrating these individuals.
  • Wear Orange for Hunger Awareness on Jan. 30

    Join Cecil College Athletics by wearing orange during the day and in the stands on Wednesday, January 30 to represent and raise awareness for hunger issues on our campus and in our community. Admission is free to the home basketball matches with a non-perishable food item or monetary donation to the Student Food Pantry at one of our ticket selling tables.
  • Student-Athlete Spotlight: Jaycie Coates

    Learn more about Jaycie Coates in the latest Student-Athlete Spotlight. Coates, a native of Elkton, Maryland and a 2018 graduate of Elkton High School, just completed her freshman season as a middle blocker on the Cecil College volleyball team. In her first season as a Seahawk, Coates was second on the team with 19 blocks and added 12 kills and 8 digs as her team finished their season at the NJCAA Region XX DII quarter-finals and went 13-6 overall and 8-2 in the conference.
  • Maser Named MD JUCO Player of the Month

    As voted by a committee of Sports Information Directors around the conference, Cecil College freshman setter Emily Maser, was named the MD JUCO Volleyball Player of the Month for her outstanding performance during the month of October.
  • Conference and Region Release Fall Awards

    Seven Cecil College fall student-athletes were named to 2018-2019 Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference All-Conference or NJCAA Region XX All-Region teams for the outstanding performance in their respective sport. Sarah Blevins, Emily Ritchie, Emily Waldridge, and Morgan Mock were recognized from volleyball along with Henry Medrano and Megan O'Neal from men's and women's soccer.

    The Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for its inaugural 2019 class inductees. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Dec. 21, at 4 p.m. The purpose of the Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is to honor individuals who, through participation, support or interest, have made outstanding contributions to or brought recognition to the athletic programs at Cecil College.

  • Seahawks Sweep Titans on "Sophomore Day"

    Cecil College women's volleyball picked up a sweep over the Titans on "Sophomore Day" and their final home contest of the regular season. The Seahawks improved to 13-5 overall and 8-2 in Maryland JUCO, while securing the No. 4 seed in the upcoming NJCAA Region XX DII tournament hosted by College of Southern Maryland.

    Cecil College women's volleyball earned back-to-back on the road sweeps over conference rivals Anne Arundel Community and Allegany College of Maryland. The Seahawks improve to 11-5 overall and 8-2 in Maryland JUCO.

  • Volleyball Swept by Undefeated Raptors

    Cecil College women's volleyball faced their second sweep of the season after a 3-0 loss to the undefeated Raptors of Montgomery College, who improved to 23-0. The Seahawks fell to 9-5 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
  • Volleyball Records First Sweep Over Skipjacks
    September 20, 2018
    The Cecil College women's volleyball beat the Skipjacks of Cecil College in three quick sets on Thursday night, locking in their first MD JUCO and NJCAA Region XX DII sweep of the season. Kadi Davis tied her season-high in kills and sophomore libero Emily Ritchie registered a new career-high eight service aces.

    The Nighthawks of Northern Virginia Community College handed the Seahawks their first loss on their home court of the year and their first loss in Region XX DII. Cecil College volleyball falls to 4-2 overall but remains unbeaten in Maryland JUCO.
  • Seahawks Late Rally Falls Short at Harcum

    Volleyball suffered their first loss of the season when their late rally fell short at Harcum College. The Seahawks lost 3-2 to the Bears by scores of 19-25, 16-25, 25-23, 25-15, and 11-15. They return to action at home on Friday at 6:00 p.m. against MD JUCO rival College of Southern Maryland.
  • Volleyball Opens Season With Two Straight Wins

    Cecil College women's volleyball improved to 2-0 after defeating Delaware Technical Community College in four sets on Tuesday. The Seahawks look to continue their perfect start with a non-conference match up at Harcum College on Wednesday, September 5.
  • Seahawks Survive Fighting Owls' Comeback
    August 29, 2018
    Cecil College women's volleyball picked up a victory in their season opener after defeating conference rivals, the Fighting Owls of Harford Community College, in five sets. After statement wins in the first two sets for the Seahawks, the Fighting Owls started their comeback winning the next two, to force a fifth set.
