The Cecil College Fitness & Wellness Center (FWC) will be operating under modified hours for the holiday season starting on December 13, 2021. Please refer to the dates and times below for operating hours. The FWC will be staffed during all specified hours and will remain closed on Saturday's and Sunday's.

Cecil College is pleased to host a Cecil County Health Department COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on campus. The vaccine clinic will take place on Tuesday, September 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Physical Education Complex (Building E) on the North East campus. First and second doses of the Moderna and Pfizer and the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available.

Indoor sports are finally back at Cecil College with the much antipicated return of the Seahawks volleyball team, starting their 2021 season tonight, August 31, as they host the Hawks of Hagerstown Community College. The Cecil College Fitness & Wellness Center (FWC) will be opening for the summer to all faculty, staff, registered students, and alumni on Monday, May 17, 2021. Students can use the FWC for no additional cost if they are registered for any number of credits during the Summer or Fall 2021 semester. Alumni are able to access the FWC if they have paid the $100.00 annual fee.

Cecil College Athletics is hosting a virtual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run this fall to unite our community and supporters to benefit our student-athletes’ scholarship fund. You pick the date, time, and location to complete your socially distanced 5K between November 14 and November 26. Every step you take will help support our student-athletes.

After much deliberation and careful consideration, Cecil College has made the difficult decision to cancel indoor sports that were previously supposed to take place in the Spring 2021 semester. Among the sports effected are the men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's volleyball teams at Cecil College.

For four days, running from November 4 though November 8, the Seahawks will open their 100% virtual fundraiser where family, friends, community members, supporters, etc. can purchase this rediculously delicious gourmet popcorn and have it delivered right to your door.

Due to COVID-19, on July 13th, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) made the decision to move all sports to the spring semester. The only exceptions are colleges with cross country, golf and women’s tennis. Those programs will remain in the fall semester.

he 2019-20 academic year presented unprecedented challenges to NJCAA student-athletes, but through determination and excellence in the classroom, 9,555 student-athletes garnered All-Academic recognition for achieving a GPA above 3.6.

Cecil College Athletic Department today announced that it has entered into a 5-year partnership with Nike through BSN SPORTS. The agreement, which will commence on July 1, 2020 is part of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which aims to make BSN SPORTS a one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment to all D1, DII, D3, NJCAA and NAIA schools.

The Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (Maryland JUCO) today announced its 2019-20 All-Maryland JUCO Men's and Women's Basketball teams and other award recipients. A total of 43 student athletes and coaches representing 14 member institutions earned honors.

In response to the plan Governor Hogan announced on March 12 with the purpose of limiting the spread of COVID-19, the Cecil College athletic department made the difficult decision to postpone or cancel all athletic competitions through March 29, 2020. The 2020 NJCAA Region XX DII men's/women's basketball tournaments are slated to take place on March 5-8, 2020 and will be hosted by Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Cecil College women's basketball defeated conference foe Anne Arundel Community College by a score of 65-58 on Wednesday night. The match-up with the Riverhawks was their last home contest before a four-game road streak to end the regular season. Wednesday night's win improved the Seahawks' overall record to 10-10 overall and 5-4 against conference opponents.

Cecil College women's basketball defeated the Cougars of Frederick Community College, handing their MD JUCO rivals their first conference loss, on Wednesday night. The Seahawks improved to 7-8 overall and hit the .500 mark at 2-2 against MD JUCO opponents.

Cecil College women's basketball split with one win over the Monroe College Mustangs and one loss to the Avengers of ASA College in the annual Holiday Classic on December 14 and 15. The Seahawks improved to four wins on the year and tallied one more loss to total three losses while staying at 2-1 against conference opponents.

The Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the Class of 2020. The deadline for the submission of new nominees is Friday, January 10, at 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is to honor individuals who, through participation, support or interest, have made outstanding contributions to or brought recognition to the athletic programs at Cecil College.

The Cecil College women's basketball team opened their 2019-2020 season with a 30-point victory over non-conference and non-region opponent, Mercer County Community College, on Thursday. The Seahawks were lifted to 1-0 after defeating the Vikings 97-67 in their season and home opener.

Learn more about Kayla Thompson in the latest issue of Student-Athlete Spotlight. Thompson, a native of Chesapeake City, Md. and a 2018 graduate of Bohemia Manor School is currently in her second year as a the point guard on Cecil College's women's basketball team. Thompson finished her freshman season with 16.9 points per game, which was first on the squad, and was named Region XX DII Honorable Mention. She totaled 328 point and 81 assists in 20 starts during her first year.
