A Letter to Student-Athletes from Director of Athletics, Ed DurhamJuly 17, 2020Due to COVID-19, on July 13th, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) made the decision to move all sports to the spring semester. The only exceptions are colleges with cross country, golf and women’s tennis. Those programs will remain in the fall semester.

Seahawks Announce Partnership with Nike and BSN SportsJuly 02, 2020Cecil College Athletic Department today announced that it has entered into a 5-year partnership with Nike through BSN SPORTS. The agreement, which will commence on July 1, 2020 is part of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which aims to make BSN SPORTS a one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment to all D1, DII, D3, NJCAA and NAIA schools.

A total of 43 student athletes and coaches representing 14 member institutions earned honors.

Women's Basetball Defeats Anne Arundel in Last Home ContestFebruary 12, 2020Cecil College women's basketball defeated conference foe Anne Arundel Community College by a score of 65-58 on Wednesday night. The match-up with the Riverhawks was their last home contest before a four-game road streak to end the regular season. Wednesday night's win improved the Seahawks' overall record to 10-10 overall and 5-4 against conference opponents.

The Seahawks improved to 7-8 overall and hit the .500 mark at 2-2 against MD JUCO opponents.

Seahawks Split With Mustangs and Avengers at Annual Holiday ClassicDecember 14, 2019Cecil College women's basketball split with one win over the Monroe College Mustangs and one loss to the Avengers of ASA College in the annual Holiday Classic on December 14 and 15. The Seahawks improved to four wins on the year and tallied one more loss to total three losses while staying at 2-1 against conference opponents.

Women's Basketball Wins Big in Season Debut Over VikingsNovember 14, 2019The Cecil College women's basketball team opened their 2019-2020 season with a 30-point victory over non-conference and non-region opponent, Mercer County Community College, on Thursday. The Seahawks were lifted to 1-0 after defeating the Vikings 97-67 in their season and home opener.

Student-Athlete Spotlight: Learn More About Kayla Thompson, Women's BasketballSeptember 30, 2019Learn more about Kayla Thompson in the latest issue of Student-Athlete Spotlight. Thompson, a native of Chesapeake City, Md. and a 2018 graduate of Bohemia Manor School is currently in her second year as a the point guard on Cecil College's women's basketball team. Thompson finished her freshman season with 16.9 points per game, which was first on the squad, and was named Region XX DII Honorable Mention. She totaled 328 point and 81 assists in 20 starts during her first year.
