    Due to COVID-19, on July 13th, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) made the decision to move all sports to the spring semester. The only exceptions are colleges with cross country, golf and women’s tennis. Those programs will remain in the fall semester.

  • Seahawks Announce Partnership with Nike and BSN Sports

    Cecil College Athletic Department today announced that it has entered into a 5-year partnership with Nike through BSN SPORTS. The agreement, which will commence on July 1, 2020 is part of BSN SPORTS Collegiate Select program, which aims to make BSN SPORTS a one-stop provider for all collegiate athletic, intramural, club and staff apparel and equipment to all D1, DII, D3, NJCAA and NAIA schools.

  • Student-Athlete Spotlight: McKale Williams, Men's Basketball

    Learn more about McKale Williams, in the latest issue of Student-Athlete Spotlight. McKale currently resides in Middletown, De. with his family but is originally from Aurora, Colorado and was a 2017 graduate of Highlands Ranch High School. McKale was a member of 2019 Region XX Championship team that placed 3rd in the national tournament, helped his team to a 23-7 record during the 2020 season, and finished his career as the squad's most effective three-point shooter. He was also named to the NJCAA All-Academic First team for boasting a perfect 4.0 GPA as a freshman and was honored as the scholarship breakfast's keynote speaker.

    In response to the plan Governor Hogan announced on March 12 with the purpose of limiting the spread of COVID-19, the Cecil College athletic department made the difficult decision to postpone or cancel all athletic competitions through March 29, 2020. For further updates, fans can consult the individual team schedule pages or the composite schedule page. These outlets will be updated immediately as changes are confirmed.

  • Seahawks Extend Win Streak to 16 Games, Falko Hits 1,000 Point Milestone in Home Finale

    The No. 12 ranked Cecil College men's basketball extended their win streak to sixteen games after defeating the Riverhawks of Anne Arundel Community College 103-32 in their last home game of the season. The Seahawks remain perfect (10-0) in MD JUCO and 7-1 in NJCAA Region XX DII as they head into their final stretch of the regular season. Their remaining four games are on the road, with three out of the four being region division opponents.
  • Falko Receives MD JUCO Athlete of the Month Award for Second Time This Season

    As voted on by the conference athlete of the month committee, sophomore guard, Jacob Falko, was named Maryland JUCO Athlete of the Month for the month of January. This is his second time receiving this honor after being named Athlete of the Month in November.

  • Men's Basketball Extends Win Streak to 10 Games with Win Over Frederick

    Cecil College men's basketball picked up their 10th straight win after deafeating the Cougars of Frederick Community College by a 21-point margin on Wednesday night. The Seahawks improve to 14-5 overall and remain unbeaten (5-0) by MD JUCO opponents.
  • Men's Basketball Ends 2019 with Six-Game Win Steak and Unbeaten December Record

    Cecil College men's basketball picked up two remaining wins left in 2019 over Monroe Community College and Cuyahoga Community College at the Holiday Classic on December 13 and 14. These two wins improved their overall record to 10-5 while staying at 3-0 against MD JUCO opponents, and marked their sixth victory in a row while staying unbeaten during the month of December. The Seahawks' win streak began at Prince George's Community College on November 23 and have since went 5-0 during the current month.

    After a hot start to the season and being named NJCAA DII Player of the Week, Jacob Falko earned the MD JUCO Athlete of the Month award for the month of November.   • Seahawks Cruise Past Baltimore City for Second Conference Win

    The Cecil College men's basketball team cruised to an easy 99-53 victory over the Panters of Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) on their home court on Wednesday night. The Seahawks improved to one game over the .500 mark to 6-5 and remain unbeaten against Maryland JUCO opponents while BCCC fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

    The Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the Class of 2020. The deadline for the submission of new nominees is Friday, January 10, at 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the Cecil College Athletics Hall of Fame is to honor individuals who, through participation, support or interest, have made outstanding contributions to or brought recognition to the athletic programs at Cecil College.
  • Falko Named NJCAA Men's Basketball DII Player of the Week
    November 20, 2019
    Cecil College guard Jacob Falko has been recognized as the NJCAA Division II men's basketball player of the week for the week of November 11 through November 17, 2019. In three contests throughout the week, Falko tallied a total of 103 points while averaging 34.3 points per game and shooting 67.9% from the floor, 58.3% from beyond the arc, and 85.7% from the free throw line. Falko's 43 points in the Seahawks' loss to Harcum marks his new career-high in scoring.
  • Seahawks Handed Back-To-Back Losses at Monroe's Murph Shapiro Tournament

    The Cecil College men's basketball was handed back-to-back losses from the Tribunes of Monroe Community College and the Generals of SUNY Sullivan at Monroe's annual Murph Shapiro Tournament. The Seahawks fell to 2-3 on the year, with both losses coming from unranked opponents.
  • Men's Basketball Opens Season with Split at CCBC Dundalk Mixer

    The no. 4-ranked Cecil College men's basketball team opened their 2019-2020 season with a split at the annual CCBC Dundalk Mixer for the second year in a row. The Seahawks' Friday night victory over Bryant & Stratton College (Va.) also marked their first win of the season prior. Men's basketball has returned three key players from last season including last year's co-leading scorer, Jacob Falko. Falko was also named all-conference, all-region, and to the all-tournament team in the NJCAA DII national tournament. George Davey, starting forward, and the Seahawks most effective three-point shooter, McKale Williams, also join Falko as sophomore members of the squad.
