NORTH EAST, Md. - Lydia Davis' 11 kills were not enough to take down the Southern Maryland (CSM) Hawks, as Cecil fell 3-0 at home Thursday evening.
Davis also led the Seahawks with 12 digs. Amanda Wagner followed behind her in both categories (10 digs, six kills).
After dropping the first set, Cecil found itself up 17-12 midway through the second. A CSM timeout gave way to a final stretch which saw the Hawks score 12 of the set's last 17 points to go up 2-0.
The Seahawks battled early in the third but were unable to stop the Hawks, falling 25-16 in set three.
Cecil drops to 1-1 on the season.
