Cecil Sweeps Titans in Season Opener

NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil locked up a win the first game of the 2022 regular season, defeating Beaver County in straight sets on Satuday afternoon.

The difference maker for Cecil on the day were the 20 points earned on service aces. Katelyn Norman-Wilson led Cecil with a half-dozen, one more than the Titans of Beaver County had as a team (five).

The Seahawks were led by Lydia Davis on offense, who finished with nine kills. She was backed by Amanda Wagner and Natalie Diamond, both of whom ended with six kills. Freshman Setter Skylar Klingler was busy on the afternoon as well, chipping in 16 assists.

On defense, Wagner led with 11 digs while Lily Landis and Norman-Wilson had eight each.

Cecil moves to 1-0 (1-0 Region 20) on the year.
