Volleyball Ends Season With Loss to Dragons, Finishes 10th in MD JUCO

Cecil College was defeated by Howard Community College on Thursday in a very close match. The Seahawks took the first set of the match, but eventually loss the match in five sets.

Howard Community College took three out of five sets by scores of 25-27, 25-15, 25-17, 23-25, and 16-14.. The Dragons were led by Kayla Hendershot with 21 kills and 17 digs in the match. Eryca Sterling recorded a team high 29 digs for the Dragons. In the loss, freshman Amanda Wagner led the way for the Seahawks with 19 digs in the match, while also adding 11 kills. Freshman Natalie Diamond also added 6 kills. Freshman hitter Lydia Davis led the way for the Seahawks with 16 kills. Freshman Crystal Lenk added 6 kills and 20 assists for Cecil College.

Cecil College finished the 2021-2022 season with a final record of 2-11 and 1-7 in MD JUCO, which lands them in ninth place out of 10 programs in the conference.
