Seahawks Slip Up After First Set Victory to Delaware Tech

Cecil College was defeated by Delaware Technical Community College on Friday in four sets to suffer their eighth loss of the season. The Seahawks took the first set, but were eventually defeated by the Spirit.

The Spirit of Delaware Technical Community College took three out of the four sets against the Seahawks 16-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-12. The Spirit were led by Alexcia Sutton and Isadora Rechner with 7 kills each. Taylor Wright also added 6 kills and 17 digs for the Hawks. In the loss, sophomore Emily Falko led the way for the Seahawks with 13 digs in the match. Freshman Amanda Wagner also added 10 digs and 7 kills. Freshman hitter Lydia Davis led the way offensively for the Seahawks with 13 kills. Freshman Crystal Lenk recorded 21 assists for Cecil College in the match.

Cecil College looks to earn their second win of the season when they host the Bears of Harcum College on Thursday, October 14th at 6 p.m.
