Volleyball Struggles Against Harford, Starts Season Winless After Four Matches

Cecil College suffered their fourth loss of the season after being defeated by Harford Community College in three sets. The Seahawks played tough in each set, but were eventually swept by the Fighting Owls.

The Fighting Owls took all three sets over the Seahawks 25-14, 25-11, and 25-20. The Fighting Owls were led by hitters Martina Croce and Brooke Naugle. Martina tallied 10 kills in the match while Brooke added 8 kills. 

Despite the loss, freshman hitter Lydia Davis led the way for the Seahawks in the match with eith kills, which doubled her previous season high four kills, while also adding five digs in the loss. Freshman setter Crystal Lenk added 14 assists (now tallied 49 assists on the year) along with serving for two aces in the match and sophomore Emily Falko tallied eight digs. Freshman hitter Amanda Wagner also contributed for the Seahawks in the match with five kills. Wagner currently leads the team in kills (15) and service aces (7) categories.

Cecil College looks to bounce back with their first win of the season when they travel to face the Bears of Harcum College on Thursday, September 16th at 7:00 p.m.
