Seahawks Handed Third Straight Loss, Look for First Win Against Harford

The Cougars of Frederick Community College defeated the Seahawks in three sets on Wednesday to hand them their third loss of the season. Cecil College played tough in each set, but were outlasted by the Cougars.

Frederick Community College took all three sets 25-11, 25-13, and 25-22 over the Seahawks. The Cougars were led by the hitting duo consisting of Taylor Fleagle and Lauren Ryan. Taylor Fleagle added 12 kills in the match while Lauren tallied 10 kills.

For the Seahawks, freshman hitters Lydia Davis and Natalie Diamond each recorded 4 kills in the match. Sophomore Emily Falko led the way for the Seahawks with 12 digs. Despite the defeat, freshman setter Crystal Lenk added 9 assists for the Seahawks. Freshman Amanda Wagner also served for 4 aces in the match.

Cecil College looks to get their first win of the season when they take on the Fighting Owls of Harford Community College on Friday, September 10 at 6 p.m.
