Student-Athlete Spotlight: Learn More about Kadi Davis, Volleyball

Learn more about Kadi Davis in the latest issue of Student-Athlete Spotlight. Davis, a native of Perryville, Maryland and a 2017 graduate of Perryville High School, is currently in her sophomore year as a Criminal Justice major and a defensive specialist/libero on the Cecil College women's volleyball team. This past fall, Davis helped her team to a final record of 15-6 and an appearance in the NJCAA Region XX Division II tournament. She led her team with 300 digs, landing her 3rd in MD JUCO in total digs and digs per set, during the season and was second on the squad with 44 service aces. Learn more about Kadi Davis below:

What is your favorite course you are enrolled in this semester & why?

All of my classes this semester are criminal justice-related so they are all interesting.

What is your favorite pump-up song or music?

"Remember the Name" by Fort Minor.

What is your favorite movie about sports & why?

My favorite movie about sports is "The Blind Side" because it has a lot of other meaningful messages about life.

If you were stranded on an island, which one of your teammates would you want with you & why?

If I was stranded on an island, I would want Jaycie Coates with me becuase we work well together and we are always laughing. We would never get bored!

What would you eat for your last meal?

This is a tough questions, but, maybe Chinese food.

What is one thing you do to prepare for a game, match, or meet?

I listen to music and pass the volleyball to myself on the wall or with a teammate.

If you could have one super power, what would it be & why?

I would want a photographic memory because I would be able to remember so much information and never fail a test. Or, I would have the ability to fly because who wouldn't want to do that?

What is your dream occupation & why?

I would love to be a detective because it's always something new and I like helping others.
