Holman's Freshman Campaign Earns All-Conference and All-Region First Team Honors

As voted by head coaches from around the conference, Cecil College freshman middle hitter Rebecca Holman, was named to the All-MD JUCO First Team, NJCAA Region XX DII All-Region First Team, and a member of the Region XX DII All-Tournament Team for her outstanding freshman campaign.

Holman made an immediate impact on the volleyball team and helped the Seahawks to a 15-6 overall record (7-4 in MD JUCO) and another NJCAA Region XX DII Tournament appearance. Cecil College volleyball ended their season with a quarter-final loss to the Cougars of Frederick Community College in the region tournament.

In 20 matches throughout the fall season, Holman recorded 219 total kills and 3.42 kills per set, which marked her third in the conference in total kills and kills per set. Holman tallied a career-high 22 kills in Cecil's road victory of Potomac State College of WVU on October 18.

In addition to leading the team in kills, Holman totaled 43 blocks on the year, which is more than double any of her teammates. Defensively, Holman landed second on the team with 121 digs and also contributed 36 services and 28 assists.
