The Seahawks cruised past conference oppenent, the Cheseapeake College Skipjacks, in straight sets on Wednesday night's road match. This victory earned Cecil College their second 3-0 win this week and their third on the season. The Seahawks won the match by scores of 25-18, 25-8, and 25-16.

Sophomore co-captian Brittany Atkins led the way with 13 assists in three matches, followed by an additional 10 by freshman Emily Waldridge. Freshman setter Sarah Blevins, in her second best match of the season, added 38 assists to help her team to victory.

Cecil College improves to 6-4 overall and 6-2 in MD JUCO competition. The Seahawks currently occupy the 4th spot out of twelve teams in the women's volleyball conference standings. The Seahawks have a few days rest before returning to action and traveling to face the Hawks of College of Southern Maryland on Tuesday, October 3 at 6:00 p.m.
