Shawn Caldarelli, former head girl's soccer coach at Elkton High School, was named Cecil College Head Women's Soccer Coach in September 2021. Caldarelli comes to Cecil College with over 30 years of coaching experience in various sports in the youth to high school levels. Caldarelli coached varsity soccer at Elkton High School for seven seasons and led the Golden Elks to their first winning season in 2019 in over a decade, assisted with the Elkton girl's varsity lacrosse team and helped them to be named 2021 Regional Champions, and has coached various club soccer and tournament teams in the local area. Caldarelli is licensed through United Soccer Coaches (NSCAA), is a licensed United States Soccer Federation (USSF) referee, and is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance.

In addition to his coaching experience, Caldarelli earned his Bachelor's degree from Towson University in Communications with minors in history and English. He currently resides in Elkton, Maryland with his wife, Kim. Together they have four children - Jordan, Kyle, Emily, and Kelsey.
