Howard Handles Seahawks

COLUMBIA - Cecil softball returned to the field for the first time in over a week, dropping a pair of contests to the Howard Dragons.

Game One - Howard 14, Cecil 1 - Box Score

Freshman first baseman Byronique Robinson collected Cecil's only two hits in first affair. A Howard error plated the Seahawks its only run of the game, as Katarina Kuchera forced a bad throw from a Dragon infielder to score Jhaydin Ledford.

Natalie Cook struck out a pair of Howard batters, but took the loss from the circle.

Game Two - Howard 12, Cecil 3 - Box Score

In game two, Howard utilized a 10-run fourth to put Cecil away.

Six Seahawks chipped in as many hits in defeat. Ledford and Kuchera combined to bring home three runs in the top of the fifth, but Cecil fell two shy of extending the contest.

Starting pitcher Iyana Jurry was stuck with the loss.
