Cecil Softball Returns to the Diamond After Six Years

BEL AIR - For the first time since 2018, the Cecil College Seahawks competed in an NJCAA softball game. They were met with stiff competition in the form of the Harford Fighting Owls, who compete at the Division 1 level and finished 26-8 last season.

Under Head Coach Aaron Rouselle, Wednesday's games marked the first step in the Seahawks journey.

Cecil's first run of its 2024 campaign came the top of the fourth. A pair of fielding errors planted Sasha Jorstad on first and eventually scored the freshman infielder.

The second half of the doubleheader saw an even better performance from the Seahawks, as they went on to plate three runs off four hits and three walks. Jhaydin Ledford led the Seahawks with two doubles and drove home all three runs. Jorstad featured once again with a single and a stolen base.
