NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil could not hold on to an early lead Tuesday afternoon, resulting in a 2-2 stalemate with the CCBC-Catonsville Cardinals.
The Cardinals got on the board in under two minutes after the Seahawks dragged down a Catonsville forward inside the box. The visitors were awarded a penalty kick and converted it to go ahead.
A goal 10 minutes later from Ronaldo King even things at 1-1. Cecil would find the back of the net again in the 16th minute after Akeil John founded Izak Battle Jr. on a through ball for a 2-1 lead.
The Seahawks kept the Cardinals without a shot on target until the 76th minute, when a strike from Catonsville got passed the Cecil defense to tie the game. A late chance from the foot of freshman Noah Palumbo was stuffed by the Cardinals, resulting in Cecil's fourth tie of the season.
Cecil moves 2-6-4 on the year.
