NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil men's soccer drop its home match on Thursday, falling 4-0 to the Frederick Cougars.

Despite nearly matching the Cougars in shots (22-18) and shots on goal (10-9), Cecil did not manage to find the back of the net. Joaquin Saavedra led the way with six shots while Dariel Palafox tallied five. 

A quick score by Frederick put the Cougars up 1-0 early in the first. Goals in the 31st and seconds before halftime made it 3-0 in favor of the visitors. Frederick's fourth of the day came in the 66th minute and put the game out of reach.

Cecil drops to 1-7 overall.
