Seahawks Drop Heartbreaker to Carroll

NORTH EAST, Md. - An own goal and a late score sank Cecil on Thursday, as the Seahawks fell 2-1 to the Carroll Lynx.

Both Cecil and Carroll peppered the net with shots throughout the contest. Seahawks starting goalie Aidan Hayes nabbed 16 of Carroll's 18 shots, while Lynx keeper Sammy Leon managed to stop 15 of 16.

An own goal by Cecil was the only thing seperating the two teams at the break. Cecil finally tied the game on a corner kick from Dariel Palafox that found the foot of Eduardo Pina as the clock ticked towards the 82nd minute. The game proved to have one final goal in in, as the Lynx hit the back of the net on a tight angle shot with seconds left to steal the victory.

Cecil falls to 1-5 (1-5 Region 20) with the defeat.
