Seahawks' Lone Goal Not Enough to Lift Them Above Hawks

Despite scoring their third goal of the season, the single Seahawks' goal against Hagerstown Community College was not enough to lift Cecil to victory over the Hawks. Cecil College men's soccer dropped to 0-4 overall during their NJCAA club-status season.

The Hawks opened up scoring early and often after finding the back of the net four times in the first twenty minutes of action. About five minutes later, freshman defender Patrick Aguoru put the Seahawks on the scoreboard to trail 4-1 with over half the contest remaining. This marks Aguoru's second goal of the season after scoring his first career goal in the Seahawks' loss to Anne Arundel Community College. The Hawks of Hagerstown Community College put up three more goals to give them a 7-1 lead heading into halftime.

The Hawks' final goal came just three minutes into the second half to finalize their 8-1 victory. Freshman goalkeeper Noah Walker tallied five saves in the loss while the Seahawks eight total shots came from Drew Johnson (1), Patrick Aguoru (3), Christopher Bainbridge (2), and Skyler Williams (2).

Cecil College men's soccer returns to action when they travel to Allegany College of Maryland on Tuesday, October 1. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
