Despite freshman goal keeper Kevin Makach's double-digit saves on the day, Cecil College men's soccer was shut out by conference rivals, the Harford Community College Fighting Owls, on Friday afternoon at Calvert Regional Park. The loss to Harford marks the Seahawks' tenth competition this season without registering a goal, eight of which came from conference opponents. Cecil falls to 1-14 and 1-10 in MD JUCO action. Men's soccer currently sits at the bottom of the conference standings out of 13 men's soccer programs.

The Seahawks were out shot by the Fighting Owls 31-6, while 21 of Harford's shots were on target. Freshman goal keeper Kevin Makach recorded 14 saves on the day in his fourth game played as a goal keeper. Cecil College registered two shots on goal, both coming from sophomore co-captian Andrew Gutierrez.

Men's soccer will return to action for their last game of the season on Tuesday, October 17 to face the Knights of CCBC Essex (12-4, 10-1). The Seahawks look to capture their first upset of the season, as CCBC Essex currently sits at the number one spot in the conference rankings. Kick off is set for 4:00 p.m.
