The Cardinals of CCBC Catonsville held the Seahawks to another scoreless contest on Friday at Calvert Regional Park. Cecil College has now gone seven straight games without putting the ball in the back of the net. Cecil College falls to 1-10 overall and 1-7 in MD JUCO competition, while occupying the eleventh spot in the 13-team conference standings.

The Cardinals released 17 shots in the first half, with eight of them on target. Seahawks' starting goal keeper Jose Rivera made four saves, allowing four goals in the first half, one of which was fired from the 35-yard line. Cecil College lacked opportunities on the offensive end, only getting off one shot in the first 45 minutes of play.

The Seahawks held the Cardinals to only eight shots in the second half and took four of their own. Allowing the Cardinals to convert one goal in the second half, the Seahawks trailed 5-0 after 90 minutes of play.

The Seahawks return to action in a road match at College of Southern Maryland on Wednesday, October 4 at 4:00 p.m. Cecil College looks to snap their seven-game scoreless losing streak.
